I suppose this page is for the technical ones out there who want to know how big my hard drive is, what hardware and software I have and how I use it. And, I suppose, what I do with it !!!
If you are not interested in such complexities of life, give this page a miss, I'm sure you'll find something more interesting somewhere else on my site.
Having built my last 2 computers myself, and carried out numerous upgrades, it reached the stage where you couldn't build one for the price you could buy one. My old computer was struggling to cope with dealing with the large size images coming from my 10 million megapixel Canon so I went down to PC World and purchased a state of the art Compaq Presario PC with 19 inch flat screen monitor.
As you can see in the above picture, the computer takes camera cards and has all the necessary connections on the front which is very useful. On top of the computer you will see my new router which facilitates full wireless throughout the house for my son and myself.
I did away with the large amplifier and speakers in favour of small stereo speakers at a cost of a fiver from Aldi. I'm still with a Logitech chordless mouse although I am looking at a small graphics tablet for picture editing.
After many faithful years I've retired my Epson 740 and upgraded to the rx560 which I think is absolutely excellent.
Finally, at the end of the desk is my portable HD which I use for backing up both my PC and my laptop as well as transferring files and pictures between them.
